Book of Poems is a compilation of verses penned over the years by John L. Sorsby of Treeton. The poems are a mixture of happy and sad memories, ranging from boyhood to the late nineties, and reflect the changes which have taken place.
Mr. Sorsby also wrote The Beginning of the End which can be read on the BBC People's War website
The first three poems were taken from a book that belonged to William Henry Fowler who lived in Treeton and Catcliffe around 1884. He was buried in Treeton Churchyard. Thanks to M. Dobbs
