The book 'Some Aspects of the History of Aston-cum-Aughton', shows details of a letter written by Henry Johnson(b.1828) in which he recalls his great grandmother was called 'Hallam'. He tells of the death of his wife Hannah, 16 April, 1900. They had been married 48 years and 9 weeks.
William Johnson married Mary Gregory in 1912, 2 years after the death of her first husband, Walter Gagen, who died in 1910. Children:
