Pedigree of Harrison of Orgreave

Hunter: A George Harrison of Orgrave was bur. at Rotherham 24 Jan. 1651.

The other coheirs of Henry Moore were Anne wife of George Newton by whom Henry and Ann .... wife of Lawrence Patterel.

It appears from Johnston's Notes, which furnish the earlier part of this pedi- gree, that the first Robert Harrison had a sister mar. to Nicholas Trippet, and another named Elizabeth mar. to Richard Burrows. Also, that Nicholas Trippet had a dau. mar. Richard Burton, Gent., s.p., and a son Robert Trippet who by Elizabeth Monk, his wife, had Burrows Trippet who mar. Mary Vincent of Austerfield, whose mother had mar. secondly to ? Burdet of Denby, brother to Lady Beaumont, widow of Sir Richard, which ? Richard should be Sir Thomas.

Alex. Jarvis and Cath Harrison of Richmond mar In Jarvis' pedigree.

There is an Ins in the Church Yard of Sheffield, in Latin, for Ann Harrison (whose will is dated 9 June 1696), wid. of W m Harrison of Orgrave, Gent. ; bur. 27 Feb. 1697, at 81 ; bur. with some people named Curtis.

Isabel Stacy of Hansworth Woodhouse, in her will 24 Feb. 1625, names her dau. Catherine, wife of Tho. Harrison.

Will of Eliz. Harrison of Orgrave, wid., 17 Nov. 1663. York Wills.

In 23 Eliz. Hugh Bosvile of Stainton names in his will his cousin Ann Harrison, and her children George and Judith. Nephew George Harrison and Judith his sister. Will of Thos Bosvile of Warmsworth, 1596.

Anne. Frances, and Charlotte, dan 8 of W and Eliz. Harrison, are said to be living 1849 at Bramley Hall in psh. of Braithwell, unmar. If so Anne must be 90.
