Gagen family of Aughton

The Gagen family were from Foulsham, Norfolk.

Stephen Gagen (c1740) Foulsham m. Mary Bull in Long Sutton, Lincs 13 Oct 1769. Children:

James¹(c.1811) Gagen m. Maria Yarham born in Themelthorpe 14 Feb 1817, daughter Anna Maria b. abt. 1843 Foulsham who married James Robert Booty.

Walter Gagen (1865-1910) from Foulsham Norfolk married Mary Gregory (b.1869 Waleswood Derbyshire).

Horace Gagen¹ married Edith Johnson, daughter of William Johnson², both of Aughton. Children:

Notes re Wm Johnson²:
William Johnson married Mary Gregory in 1912, 2 years after the death of her first husband, Walter Gagen, who died in 1910.
William's other daughter Mary Johnson married Walter, son of Walter Gagen and Mary Gregory(Nee Gagen).
William Johnson's father was Henry Johnson the blacksmith of Aughton. He was also a local preacher on the Methodist circuit for Aston & Aughton.
