Thomas Rossington (1843-1912)
John Rossington married Esther Pym at St Peter in Eastgate, Lincoln

Thomas Rossington, son of John and Esther, was born in 1843. He married Mary Leversedge (born about 1840) who was born in Darnall, Sheffield.
In 1871 he was living at Woodhouse Mill and was Stationmaster. Ann E, their daughter was aged 7 and also born in Darnall. Joseph W, their son aged 3 was born in Whittington Derbyshire, and John T. Rossington was aged 1 and born at Woodhouse Mill.
He was appointed Sunday School Secretary on the 21st January 1882. He also shared the superintendency with Frederick J. Jones. Later on he was leader of a Bible Class and, for a number of years he was choirmaster until his retirement in 1911.
He was the father of John T. Rossington and the grandfather of Thomas Rossington.
I am reliably informed that: Clement Rossington who married in Lincoln in 1666 is, almost certainly, the progenitor of all the extant Rossingtons in the UK today. He in turn came from Anston near Sheffield, and the family is around in Derbyshire back into the 1200's, with a Sir John Rossington buried in Youlgreave church in the Peaks; and Clement Rossington, Lord of the Manor of Dronfield, who married Sarah Burton, daughter of Burton
