A SOCIAL CLUB PLAY - Frieda, a play in three acts by Ronald Millar, a very enjoyable evening show produced by the Treeton Methodist Social Club Players, was given on Monday, Thursday and Friday of this week and a further performance will be given tonight, Saturday. The players, who give excellent portrayals of their parts are:

- Judy Dawson Joan Harper
- Robert Dawson David Harper
- Tom Merrick Arthur Parrott
- Frieda Ida Harper
- Richard Mansfield John M. Holmes
- Rev. Francis Munroe Terrence Bates
The play is produced by Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Havard. The dresser is Mrs. J. Smith, scenery is by Mr. D. Harper, posters by Mr. W. Harper and stage lighting by Mr. B. Havard. House managers are Messrs. R. Cox and R. Spink, stage manager, Mr. J. Smith, assistants, E. Hitchen and A. Parrott senior.
On Monday night there was a special performance for children, and on Thursday one for the old age pensioners, at a reduced charge. A special bus collected the pensioners from Bole Hill, Mill Lane and Arundel Avenue. During the interval the pensioners were given free ice-cream.
