In 1951,Treeton Methodist Social Club, presented their pantomime,Ali Baba in villages throughout the district. It was estimated that their show was seen by at least 2500 people. With a cast of over 40, the pantomime, an annual event, was produced by Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Havard. The cast was made up mainly of enthusiastic teenagers who also put on two or three drama shows during the year.

Stage Manager was Mr. J. Smith assisted by Roy Bloom, D. Piercey, D. Shalton, A. Mason and A. Parrott A. Rodgers was in charge of lighting. The scenery was designed and painted by D. Harper, assisted by P. Harper. In charge of costumes were Mesdames Havard and Smith. Mrs. D. Harper was in charge of make up. The pianist was Mr. E. Wood.
A special performance for over 65's was given last Saturday and travelling facilities for the old folk were provided.
A childrens performance was given on Wednesday evening and a further show will be given tonight (Saturday)
