METHODIST SOCIAL CLUB - On Christmas Eve members of the Treeton Methodist Social Club presented A Child in Flanders in the Sunday School. The action of the play is set on a Christmas Eve in Flanders during the 1914- 1918 war. The cast comprises members of the club as follows:

- Virgin Mary J. Tuxford
- St. Joseph J. K. Havard
- Angel Gabriel R. Bloom

- Three Kings H. R. Manship, R. Spink, B. Havard
D. Harper was the soloist, R. Cox, the narrator and Harper, the pianist. The producers were Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Havard, stage manager was J. Smith.
Carols
Following the play, members of the club, with members of the church, toured the village singing carols.
Christmas Party
Sixty members of the club attended a Christmas Party held in the Sunday School on Boxing Day, when a meat tea was prepared by Mrs. J. W. Havard and Mrs. J. Smith assisted by lady members of the club. A social evening followed and R. Cox, R. Spink, K. Tinkler and T. Bates were M.C's for games.
