Benjamin Mercer and Charlotte had 4 children:
- Annie born 1877 in Sheffield and died 8th August 1937 at 71 Low Road, Malin Bridge, Sheffield
- James William born 1880 in Sheffield and died 24th November 1881 at 60 Jessop Street, Sheffield.
- Polly born 1883 in Sheffield and died 30th July 1883 at 60 Jessop Street, Sheffield
- Charlotte born 12th January 1886 at 60 Jessop Street, Sheffield and died 16th February 1953 at 65 The Circle, Manor Estate, Sheffield. She m.Frank Bell
Benjamin died on 15th November 1888 at 24 Furnival Lane, Sheffield. His occupation was a Drayman. After Benjamin's death, Charlotte Mercer re-married to William Smith on 1st March 1891. She died on 16th April 1902 in a Sheffield workhouse aged 45.
Emily and James Ainsworth had 2 sons, they were Willie (born about 1883) and Harry (born about 1890). Willie Ainsworth married Edith King in 1915 in Rotherham, they had a daughter born on 19 January 1917 and she died on 20 January 1917 aged 1 day. They didn't have had any more children. Edith died on 16 Ddecember 1963 aged 77 at 24 Old Garden Drive, Rotherham. Willie died in 1947 aged 63 in Rotherham.
Harry Ainsworth married Rose Foster in 1920 at Doncaster. They had a daughter, Joan, born 14 November 1921, she never married and died in Sheffields Thornbury Hospital on 16 August 2004, she was their only child. Harry Ainsworth, died 17th May 1959 aged 68 at 26 Newton Street, Rotherham.
Emily Ainsworth re-married in about 1899 to Philip Michael as her husband James Ainsworth died in 1892.
Charlotte married Frank Bell on 8 November 1903 at St Thomas Church in Crookes in Sheffield.
They had 4 children
- Frank Bell born 29 March 1905 and died 4 March 1963 aged 57
- Joe Bell born 20 April 1907 and died 6 March 1976 aged 69.
- Herbert Bell born 29 May 1908 and died 28 June 1908 aged 30 days
- Stanley Bell born 17 October 1911 and died 24 February 1913 aged 16 months
