NATIVITY PLAY - A Time to be Born a Nativity Play by P. D. Cummins, was presented by the Treeton Methodist Social Club in the schoolroom, last Saturday. The Rev. H. G. Hawkes presided and introduced the play which was produced by Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Havard assisted by Mrs. J. Smith. Taking part were:

The stage manager was Mr. J. Smith, assisted by Messrs. D. Harper, A. Parrott,junior, A. Gray and B, Scott. Lighting arrangements were in charge of Mr. B. Havard, and the whole of the scenery was painted by Mr. D. Harper.
During the play, carols were sung by the Methodist Church Choir, under the leadership of Mr. G. T. Dumville with Miss K. Banks as the organist.
At the morning service held in the church on Sunday, Mr. G. T. Dumville was the preacher and in the evening Mr. J. Whitehead of Rotherham conducted the service, Miss K. Banks was the organist.
