Joseph Walker, an Agricultural labourer, born about 1803 Dronfield, Derbyshire was married to Helen/Ellen/Eleanor, born about 1804 Fullwood. Children:

Joseph and Eleanor's eldest daughter Sarah(c.15/08/24) had a son John Foster Walker c.25.9.1842, who was living with Joseph and Eleanor in 1851, as their son. Also living with the family was a niece, Sarah Ann age 10, born Sheffield. On 2.10.43 Sarah married James Mercer. Sarah died in 1865.

Living next door to the Walker's was John Cawthorne and his second wife, Ann Lound. John was grandfather of Harriot Cawthorne who later became the wife of John Foster Walker

It is thought the father of John Foster Walker was Samuel Foster who was born 1823 and living at 106 Bole Hill in 1891. He was declared a 'grandfather'. A Coal Miner born Goldbury, Worcestershire. He was not head of the household.

Edith Owen was a native of Brampton-en-le-Morthen. At the age of 34, she married William Walker from Treeton. They lived at Grange Cottage Brampton.

She was well known in the district having been on the postal staff at Thurcroft for eight years.

She died aged 44 years and the internment took place in Thurcroft Cemetery after a service conducted in Brampton Methodist Chapel by the Rev. J. Jennings.

Walter Walker was born in 1875, he married Mary Elizabeth REVILL (known as Polly) , daughter of Thomas Revill and Elizabeth (Nee Maxfield), at Treeton on 14th November, 1899.

Witnesses at the marriage were James, Eva and Thomas Revill and Ada FOWLER.

They moved to Ulley where the family have farmed Ulley Beeches & Brampton for 80 years.
